Blitz the Ambassador has been hard at work and his latest installment is a series of MtvU LIVE Sessions. If the preview is any predictor, they are dope and about to drop any day now.

the MTVu House Band series, recorded at Royal Blue Studios in Brooklyn, a completely analog facility run by platinum engineer/producer Robert Honablue (Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix, Sly & the Family Stone, Leonard Bernstein, Aretha Franklin). Blitz recorded 5 songs during the session with a beefed up, 12-piece version of his Embassy Ensemble, and several special guests, including John Forte and Bajah (of the Dry Eye Crew). The recording process was documented over a series of 8 videos, which include interviews with Honablue, the special guests, Blitz himself and live footage of the songs “Kill the Radio”, “Remembering the Future”, “Nothing to Lose”, “Dying to Live”, and “Something to Believe”. The video series will be released in succession this holiday season, but below you can check out the trailer and a 30-second clip of the “Remembering the Future”. Check out the below and please consider posting on WorldUp.
Live Sessions features:

John Forte of The Fugees fame

Bajah from the Dry Eye Crew, who has worked with World Up’s Education program

Balla Tounkara, a master Kora player

Keyboardist and vocalist Kate Mattison

Tess Boogie, an amazing up-and-coming NYC vocalist

And a full string section in addition to Blitz’s regular band.

From the looks of this trailer, this will be one live session you won’t want to miss!
